On 19 March, during the #PowerConnectEnergySummit in Gdańsk, Tele-Fonika Kable signed a Letter of Intent with @ASE GROUP - a company that is building one of the largest engineering hubs in Poland, bringing together design engineers, technologists and consultants working on broadly defined energy transition projects.
The cooperation aims to combine industrial and engineering expertise to support the development of infrastructure for the energy transition, particularly projects related to offshore wind. The partnership will explore opportunities to deliver joint projects covering the design, integration, and supply of systems for energy infrastructure.
The cooperation also creates an opportunity to offer comprehensive turnkey solutions for the entire process of exporting power from offshore wind farms to onshore grids, helping to reduce risks for investors while maximising the potential of Polish local content in offshore projects.
Tele-Fonika Kable, together with JDR Cable Systems, has more than 20 years of experience in the offshore wind sector and has contributed to projects worldwide, including in the Baltic Sea – Baltic Power, Bałtyk II and III, Baltica 2, and BC-Wind. The company’s capabilities are further strengthened by the development of its facility in Bydgoszcz, including the launch of new state-of-the-art production lines enabling the manufacture of advanced insulation systems for high and extra-high voltage cables and the development of HVDC cable technologies.
